It depends. Index 3 would start getting into confusing as shit territory, and if it's handled badly it could potentially flop really bad.

Railgun has better odds, depending on what they decide to adapt. Sticking to the theme of the Sister's Arc would probably do best. Doing something like Liberal Arts City, something else (maybe filler, maybe Volume 8), then the Sports Festival might go well. It has Misaki and Gunha in particular after all, which are pretty hype characters. Plus Touma's in top form in that arc as far as likeability goes.

You need weekly releases of manga to keep up with an anime adaption. Railgun is monthly.

They might actually be able to do it with Index since Kamachi releases a volume every 4 months or so (though they'd need at least 6 volumes a season I imagine so it'd still be every two years), but most LNs don't release in that short a time frame so it wouldn't work.

I'm trending along at a good pace on the novels but I have to ask, what was the point of Touma losing his memories? Also, just how much vital information did he know before losing them? If you think about Haruue seems like she should be the main character for an anime like this. No substance in her power basically weak and shy but determined. It's sort of like a magical girl anime where she'd start out weak and learn to be strong by protecting her friends and eventually becoming one of the strongest characters in the series. She also eats a lot which is a good sign of strength in an anime character, just think about it.

Caught up to Accel and read the recent Railgun chapters again. Isn't Hishigata essentially the founder of both Five Overs and cyborgs like Rensa and Umidori? They all stem from his research. This Accel arc doesn't seem so useless after all, and I'm surprised the guy hasn't shown up in the LN.

Up until the magic gods, all of those abilities had certain limitations or an appropiate build up to clear its conditions, Fiamma being the peak of this.

At the beginning it seemed that Othinus was gonna go this way too, and (sorta) made up for how bullshit the magic god status seemed, but the setup was worse than Fiamma's (instead of ever increasing tension the arcs are mixed with times of rest up to the final battle), all the arcs that lead to the climax were revealed to be pointless, and this ancient magic god ended up being defeated by the almighty cock, becoming the damsel in distress for the next arc with a tragic ending... which ended up being a cop-out ending with the ancient magic god turning into a comic relief waifu mascot.

These two are just great together. I'd imagine they had a lot of fun living under the same roof. It was really sad to watch them separate when they both started crying. I really wanted to see a romantic interes with these two but I realize that's wanted more than what's realistic from an anime like this.
