A year at worst, a couple months at best sounds about right. Personally I think it'll be a few months, but that's probably just optimism.

1. He ended things neatly with another volume.
2. The cliffhanger isn't the same as Beyond or the bodyguards. It doesn't feel like something intended to be heft hanging for a while.
3. He's trying to get back into shape.
4. No seriously deteriorating art or art so good it's obviously burning him out.

I really get the feeling this is a "normal" break rather than some great hiatus induced by nasty health issues. Take a breather from heavy drawing, spend some more time getting /fit/, touch up the chapters for the tank during free time, etc. OPTIMISM.
