Amon was always known for his incredible physical abilities but we know Kuroiwa Jr. has them as well without being a child from the garden. Kaneki never was physically superior to anyone before he became a halfghoul and started to train but yet he shows symptoms like weakening eye sight.

I don't think that Kaneki's father was a ghoul. His eyesight getting worse can simply be explained by the various eye injuries he received and inflicted upon himsself. Ghoul regeneration can only do so much.

On a different matter, in an earlier thread people were speculating why Amon and the Kuroiwa's have that outstanding physical strength for someone who isn't supposed to be a half-human. It could just be that an ancestor of each of them was a half-human and throughout the generations they retained some of that strength.

I think it's a widespread misconception that there's some animosity between Arima and Hirako. Hirako seems more than aware of Arima's affiliation with V, that he isn't really a human and of his glaucoma. He's always been covering Arima's blind spot and in the flashback where Arima tells Hirako to use both hands, Hirako answers with "I'm sorry, it's because... I'm just a normal person.". There are various tokuten poscards you can only acquire by purchasing the books locally in specific shops, I don't think I've seen all of them. Many of the first part were reprinted in zakki but most weren't scanned, at least that I know of. Pic related, for example.

Ah yes. THS does have them but vol's 2 and 3 are translated, which isn't a bad thing at all but I'd like to have the raw version as well. It's a shame the flap data and back-covers aren't included in the digital versions.

Depends on how you judge them.

Anteiku could be seen as a nice thing, ghouls promoting a more peaceful lifestyle, or a group of hypocritical ghouls who still eat people.

Kaneki fits in a weird spot he kills a bunch of ghouls, but he chose his targets. Its hard to argue if killing them was good or bad.

Worst thing he has done was probably release ghouls during his suicide attempt to rescue Hinami but then again they probably didn't have much of a chance.
Hinami deserved to be where she was.

A lot of the CCG guys seem pretty good, Hirako and his old squad seem ok.

A lot of the special class seem like good people.

I find it hard to judge the CCG for killing ghouls or wanting to get rid of them, because most of them have murdered people or been involved in horrible activities.

However I do blame ghouls for killing humans as most of them didn't do anything to deserve it and the CCG is hunting them because they are murderers excluding a small minority.

There is no plot, there is no meaning. Everyone is just out to get Kaneki in random set of events with tragedy boner in mind, a contest of making his sitaution more miserable and thats it.

So, what do you think is the reason Arima wanted Kaneki to take the credit?

Kaneki claiming he killed Arima is really the one reason I could see him fighting Amon again, seeing as Amon seems to expect Kaneki to be infallible and respected Arima on top of it.
Before this, I could see no reason they'd ever fight again.

Yeah, but he appears to be mostly sane, saves innocents like Saiko and works against Aogiri and the corrupt part of the CCG. So I saw no reason he'd fight Kaneki again despite this being a potential, obvious parallel to TG.

He would be considered stronger than Arima and therefore stronger than anyone in CCG and become Arima's ideal replacement material. He can also infiltrate in V if he plays along. Arima knew Kaneki is good at playing a role, had the right mindset, his own sense of beauty and justice and is very strong, after all Arima trained him himself. That's why he's the only one who can do this without being corrupted.

Make him a legendary figure the ghouls can rally behind? Although it kind of ends all potential of working together with the non corrupt parts of the CCG, unless someone leaks that Arima was part ghoul and "corrupt" himself.
