Maybe try to move your subject further from the background to blur it more, i can tell its your backyard and it looks like shit. The end of her sceptre is going blury so if you were aiming to get the full figure in focus you need to increase your aperture. The sunlight is very harsh and the hard shadows aren't pleasing to the eye. Maybe try buying a light difuser and putting it directly over her if you're shooting in full sunlight

It depends on the manufacturer and the medium, but in general, modern figures, dolls and toys are a lot nicer. Thanks to the march of better tech, it's easier to make better looking shit these days. Plus there's higher quality paints, and material like PVC and ABS that's easier to work with compared to resin. Better decals, too.

For die cast stuff there's not a huge difference, but with scales it's really noticeable. I have older buyfag merch, GKs and other stuff, that predates what I posted here >>143547500, and some of it just looks ridiculously cheap.
