How come Benkei was passed off in Majikoi S as more of a side character when she is obviously in the top 8 best girls of the series.
By the way, I was always curious; but is she able to defeat Momoyo all by herself instead using some cheap trick like Tsubame?

No. She would be able to match her briefly, but Momo has super regen and would just wait until her special move wears off. She can't do it for long.

I honestly prefered Yoshitsune over Benkei while reading S, It was A-1 and Benkei interactions with yamato once they started going out that made her godly best and probably top 5 for me.
