I would like to see pre-Rebellion Sayaka Miki fighting a witch alone, and losing, only to see bolts of light and the witch destroyed- by none other than Akko! Sayaka will be like "holy shit ive never seen a magical girl who could fly on a broom like that before wassup nigga" and Akko will be like "I'm not a magical girl, I'm a witch!"

Since it's a full series now, they finally have the time to do more robust worldbuilding and character development. How do you even become a witch? Can anyone learn magic? Why is Diana such a bitch? What's up with Shiny Chariot/teacher? Is there a boy academy? I want to learn more about the characters and the world, but of course the most important thing is cute witch shenanigans. Ideally a nice mix between the two. No grand "save the world" plot, but I don't want it to just be a slice-of-life anime.
I'm worried they won't be able to keep the high quality of the shorts in a series though. They better have a good budget. I know Trigger is a master at cutting corners to save money, but the "shitty flash tween animation for comedic effect" doesn't really fit LWA.

But it still consistently looks fucking amazing due to the level of detail, visual flow and crude aesthetic. I just had a thought that there's a chance that LWA could be a huge western anime release.
Let's assume for a second that it gets licensed by some western distribution company and somehow, miraculously, gets a halfway decent dub (all dubs are shit blah blah blah I know). Then you have kind of a typical young adult/tween story with elements that are currently popular with good production values coming down the pipeline. Disney loves that shit, and since they own their own cable channel, it would not be out of the question for them to pick it up, especially since they've dipped their hands into anime in the past

Dude, stop. Kiznaiver looks like ass. Not only are the character designs ugly (why does everyone have a fucking giraffe neck?), the storyboarding and directing are far below par for Trigger. There's nothing visually spectacular about it. And before you accuse me of hating it just to seem cool, you should know that I was actually looking forward to the show, and that I tried very hard to like it. I just couldn't. It lacks the fun and energy of Kill la Kill, Little Witch, and Luluco. I can't perfectly describe it, but it just doesn't have the same soul as other Trigger projects.

Also, the story is horrendously bad, but that's irrelevant to the current discussion. Just had to get it off my chest.

Its kind of ironic if you think about it. LWA is consider too Westerner for some anons but at the same time a ton of other ones call it "The Saviour Of Anime". The same happened with Avatar The Last airbender when it came out in the USA and that show its pretty Japanese too. In other Japanese Cartoons and Western Cartoons can't save anything by themeselves.
