It's not perfect, but overall I like the new issue. We are in for a very important information dump about the event that Femto triggered and we'll get to see the elf king pretty soon, not to mention the whole subplot about restoring Casca's sanity. Old man on the goat, Molda the sexy witch, the face-tree forest and the witch village are all pretty neat as well.

Some of the art is a little strange though. I'll wait for better scans but it does seem like some parts of the artwork were digitally altered. Can't say I'm a fan of that, but so far it's really minor stuff and everyone is blowing it way out of proportion. The art is still great, and that's the only thing that matters.

Regarding the comedy, well again, not a huge fan of it, but I don't particularly mind it either. Elfheim is supposed to be a safe haven (for now), that was the whole point of the trip, so it is appropriate that we have some light- hearted moments.

I have the same problem with Alita : Last Order.

Not sure if it's on permanent hiatus or not or whatever is going on but I religiously read both Berserk and Alita back in the day and it's surreal that both series are still going but the chapters are dripping by so slowly to the point where basically nothing is going on.

I think that in Berserk in particular Guts got on the ship or that pirate captain was introduced in 2007-2008. That's almost 10 years ago.
We got some exposition in the meantime but honestly the plot has not moved at all.

The models on page '50' are copy/pasted onto page '56'. Look very closely. Some have been repositioned and resized, and Isidro's model has been flipped along the vertical axis. The only original models on page '56' are the three witches leading the group in the background.

I can't honestly believe Miura has sunk so low as to use digital, and then to copy/paste characters instead of drawing them again.

You guys who want to say that Miura needs a lot of time to draw the chapters because he's sick/has been sick, whatever - you're wrong. And this is evidence. He could have waited another month to release this chapter. He could have had an aide or assistant draw in the small, detail-less characters. But he didn't; he simply copied art he'd already drawn. I think this is finally *proof* that Miura isn't interested in Berserk anymore, or is at least extraordinarily lazy. He went out of his way to learn a method of drawing chapters that would require him to not draw.

It's one of the best scenes in the entire work imo. It boils all the tension in the Golden Age arc about Guts being under Griffith to the point of an explosion. It has beautiful panels and a great atmosphere in both mediums. The expressions of each character and the dialogue really show the gravity of the situation. But Griffith's thoughts honestly complete the scene.

Monsters and elves were less common as traditional man vs man struggles came about.
