Erwin was not instantly killed. He's probably missing a chunk of his liver but he'll live for a few hours more at least. More than enough time to serum him.

It's an interesting choice to kill one of the three "main characters". Considering Isayama pulled a similar stunt with Eren early on that would lead me to believe he won't find a way to revive Armin. Armin's basically repaying Eren for what he did with that Bearded Titan.

I missed a lot of the middle bits due to skipping around so maybe this is obvious.

Eren has the coordinate because he ate his dad, who stole it from the royal family because the coordinate turns you into an evil dickhead forced to continue the will of the First King. But that's only if you're of the royal bloodline- Eren's not, so he can break the cycle. Grisha also supposedly is not but suicided into Eren's stomach anyways because mysteries.

But the coordinate gives you the memories of its previous users.

So, isn't it more likely that it's the memories of the First King that turn you into an evil dick, and not some intergenerational mind control bullshit? Obviously he knew about some fucked up shit that made him choose the course of action he took. Maybe being his descendant just accelerates the speed at which you regain his memories.

In which case, Eren will also become an evil dickhead, not because of mind control, but because once he regains the First King's memories he'll realize the First King Did Nothing Wrong™ and everything he did was the best possible action.

Eren and Mikasa have character flaws and fuck up constantly (especially Eren). Mikasa is often not strong enough, and her obsession with Eren endangers her missions. Eren is ALWAYS not strong enough, and he's kind of an idiot.

Armin is always right, and it always follows the same pattern:

Armin is smart, never makes mistakes, fights for his friends, and doesn't want anyone to die ever. He never does anything with his brain until an asspulls is needed. Despite all the times he's been betrayed he does nothing to prevent it, but for some reason instead of getting him killed, it makes the traitors like him. Furthermore, Armin is the source of most of the asspulls when the heroes are in what should be an unwinnable situation.

Every time he's in danger, a literal hand could descend from the clouds, passing Armin a note explaining exactly what they can do to survive their current situation, and it would subtract nothing from his character- that's how Mary Sue he is.

But no. All she ever does is exclaim "Eren!" And get sadfaced when somebody captures or hurts him. It pisses me off because at first I figured Armin was going to be the third wheel but he actually has a lot of input in the manga's events, most of his input being spitballing a plan that miraculously works, and Eren is obviously as close to an MC as SnK has. But Mikasa is just "there". She's even dropped the whole "I love Eren" bit that she had in the beginning. It's a tragic missed opportunity to make a real trio.
