Of course Brotherhood. Now you can delete this thread
The manga/Brotherhood was much more tightly written, and clearly the story that FMA was intended to be.
Butthey're both fine and it's all up to personal preference.
manga > anime

But they are the same anon.
OP, I guess I was wondering if you guys had a preference on the differences -- FMA's homunculi depth, darker character moments vs FMAB's tigher plot, action moments and 'cleaner' ending

The first one. Brotherhood was just generic shonen shit.
It's been many years since I watched FMA, and I loved the shit out of it back then. I watched Brotherhood more recently and thought it was pretty good, but I didn't enjoy it in the same way. I can't really say that FMA is better than Brotherhood though because I was younger and less critical back then. If I went back and watched it, I don't think I'd be surprised if it's actually terrible but I just enjoyed it at the time.
They're completely different aside from a few things here and there, so it's kind of weird to even compare them. If it were two takes on the same story, a comparison would make more sense, but the stories are completely different.
