How come there is a distinct lack of shota/trap hentai?
The only ones I can think of are Pico, Shounen Maid, and that Poju one (Natsuyasumi or something like that?)

Obviously producers don't think it's worth it. They still risk making lolicon ovas, with several of them released this year, while Pico and Kuro are still the only shota/trap animated porn (Natsuyasumi barely counts since it was such a small scale production, closer to the Touhou animations).

Animated hentai has always been weird. Gay porn ovas are almost non-existent, while niche themes like tentacle and demon rape saturate the market (although much less now than it used to). It's like it was set in stone what kind of people buy hentai discs and everything since then has to pander to them.
