While he might not be willing to offer information on Aftokrator, he might be able to give information on other worlds. And if he intends to fight Hyrein once they get to Aftokrator, Border would have a capable fighter causing a distraction and internal discord(tying up a black trigger user in the process) while they carry out their rescue mission. A fighter they can comfortably leave behind at that.

It won't overlap with Osamu IMHO. Osamu is now more of short range defensive all-rounder with focus on support. Hyuse as mid-long range shooter (maybe with Scorpion for extra defence) that focuses on overwhelming his opponents with many powerful bullets like Nino or Izumi makes most sense. And he could fuse them and even use lead with his 2nd highest non BT boosted trion in BORDER.

Well, in WT shooters in general are known by performing a "support" role more than actually doing damage the shooters that are actually damage dealers are just a couple of exceptions (Nasu and Izumi), the rest just do the same than Osamu, being annoying.

If Hyuse goes shooter would probably go damage dealer so wouldn't be the same playstyle at all, I give that, but still would be redundant since the tools (shooter cubes) are the same so probably the author will use gunner.

No, Shooters were described as hard to earn points with and combat support is the role what most Shooters and Gunners sort of default to because of this. At their core though both types have the toolkits to be aggressive and even in a support role they're still damage dealers that can break through shields. And the type of support and harassment Osamu provides is very different from what other Shooters can do. Osamu is an annoyance and creates hindrances with his wires and Asteroid but aside from creating footholds for Yuuma that's really all he can (so far). Meanwhile other Shooters are creating offensive pressure with their bullets, using Viper/Meteora to make them spread their shields or force them out of their positions. They can accomplish this by being threats in their own right.

Hyuse has the Trion to do what Ninomiya does but potentially better once he learns how to use Border tech. And that's what Osamu's team is missing right now. They have one offensive threat and two supports and that's a problem because their supports aren't really threatening in and of themselves. Hell, a reasonably skilled Shooter with Viper alone would greatly open up Tamakoma-2's possibilities.

They trade dynamic shooting and raw versatility for mobility and when you're taking a combat support role, mobility and being able to get into positions to flank or harry a target are everything.
