Anyone else feel the manga has been on a slow decline into shit since Dana's arc ended?

I could handle the Inn SoL-Harem antics overstaying their welcome, but the racing arc was way over the line for me. The manga feels like it's undergone the inverse of Negima's tonal shoft, from a semi-serious battle-shounen with decent fights to a mostly comedic battle-harem series that just endlessly teases fights.

Plus the cast of UQ Holder minus Kirie now seems like it's going to be totally irrelevant and that the Negima crew will be taking center stage for a good few arcs.

I really do not like the last two dozen or so chapters and the direction they're taking the story.

Those OADs were garbage. Only the gateport fight was decent and even then it had a lot of awkward shots that exemplified Shaft's inability to animate action. They didn't even have the OP finished for the first OAD, and there were a lot of shots that were just traced over panels from the manga. I don't know why people praise them so much.

Shaft should be kept far away from UQ Holder after how much they fucked up with the Negima movie, anyway. That was just an outright disgrace.

Dana arc is better than Kyoto and the first half of Mahora Festival arc. Nothing tops First half of MM arc but the manga is not over yet. Introduction arcs have been better and smoother than Negima's too.

A proper, well done tournament arc with the crew growing as a team while reaching for Mars would have been a great way to properly setup resolving the leftover conflict from Negima, and would be way more satisfying and interesting than what we got instead imo.

I think what annoys me the most tho is that besides Touta's brief moments of assertiveness, the harem antics aren't even good. They're really below Ken's standard.

Ken is purposely simplifying his style in order to work faster. The quality of his lineart has not changed and his anatomy has actually gotten better compared to the latter half of Negima where all the girls had broken spines.

The only thing I'd really criticize him for is that sometimes it's obvious he's using 3D human models as a base for some action poses.
