I might be alone in this one, but I don't think the story structure of overlord is good for anime adaptions. There are action driven parts, but most of the time the character are developed trough inner monologues or discussion where they don't need to be animated. I would take a new chapter over a new season of an already written chapter any day of the weak.

Don't worry, we aren't running a OL-esque setting; everything we've played up to now was all just spur-of-the-moment homebrew shit the DM pulled out of his ass.

All of us may be best friends but none of us, DM included, has any experience and so the amount of fun we've had is fucking through the roof. We're all just figuring out the system at the same time and we're having an absolute blast doing it.

It's gonna be quite a shock to run through a more structured, serious campaign but I think it'll also make us all take the game a little more seriously, which we could honestly stand to do a little more of.

Best thing for Ainz to do is to just sit in Nazarick and build power and self-sufficiency. What he shouldn't do is go around flexing his power. Nazarick is like a barely contained catastrophe, kind of like Mordor except a thousand times more OP compared to surrounding nations -- Middle Earth could at least resist Mordor, but the NW would just get rolled without issue.

Nazarick isn't just super powerful, its basically a OCP (outside context problem). There's no need for Ainz to go rampage around.

I'd say the fact that there is a class that requires you to cheat your way into an obscene amount of X type spells when normally you can only get 60 spells is more ridiculous.

Witches at least can simply take a scroll and attempt to learn a spell from that so it's probably not as bullshit as it seems outside of dark wisdom presumably being able to take spells against the target's will.
EG Normal spellcaster has to get extra spells via scroll/etc which implies either finding it as a drop or another player willingly selling said scroll when everyone was a cheap hoarder with knowledge.
Dark wisdom sounds like it outright steals a spell that the targeted being knew which gives it a larger pool.

Well, NPC flavor text became real in the NW. If the player's that added Yggradsil magic with a WCI used the same lore, then it probably became real in the NW as well. So giving the book to Fluder didn't change anything, but it may allow Fluder to actually understand how Yggradsil magic works and make completely new spells.

In Ygg it was an item for changing your race to Lich.

In NW it seems to have converted into a book that can teach a significant amount about the nature of magic. More specifically magic involving death, souls and becoming an immortal skelly. Using this knowledge a capable magic caster like Fluder could develop entirely new spells of his own based on the theory and concepts the book teaches.

In other words, it is an item of exceptional value and in the wrong hands it is exceptionally dangerous. So Ainz probably should not have given it to Fluder.
