Piccolo Daimao arc. Krillin dies like that right after the tournament, then Roshi fails and dies, then Piccolo kills the freaking dragon so no wishes anymore. This was way back in the 90s just watching the anime as kid, not knowing the manga or what would happen like 20 episodes later. Until that point Dragon Ball was just adventure and goofy stuff, so this part was pretty insane and I was not expecting that shit at all.
Yamcha, Tenshinhan and Piccolo's deaths were sad but Vegeta and Nappa said "he is from namek" so at that point that impact wasn't that big as before.
And yeah, I don't care about Chao.
