I used to dream that Gon would hold-off Obelisk Force by himself at Academia so Yuya, Reiji, and Sawatari could go inside to face Leo, taking multiple attacks that drop his LP to zero, but he doesn't fall, he just keeps taking hits while standing like a man, completing his Benkei flags. Yusei became a bad character after Fortune Cup. Before he was a well written Shounen protagonist that showed that not all of them have to be the charging in first shit-for-brain preacher, his deck was well constructed and even the one-off cards felt like something he would have in his deck, not just something pulled out of the hat to asspull that particular duel (Balanced Shooter, Cluster Pendulum, etc...).

Maybe, just maybe, 150 episodes isn't enough for ARC-V's world, plot, characters, and entame. 160 possibly, 170 - 180 preferable, 200 would be nice, but impossible...

Maybe the Synchro could've used several cuts and rearrangements to fix pacing here and there, like cutting out all the recaps, with 76's recap narration delving into the respective character's motivations intergrated better into the action. The Friendship Cup itself could've been reduced by either lowering the number of participants and/or fixing the pacing of the duels themselves. The Obelisk Force invasion could've possibly also waited until after the Cup so shit can go down even further by having both the invasion and Roger go full crazy at the same time. etc. etc.

Now how much time could've been saved if all the summon chants were removed?

It's the complete opposite. Having too many episodes with no end in sight allows them to bloat the show needlessly because they always feel like they'll have time to fix it. They keep characters away from the show like Yugo and Yuri because they're too important to use. If Arc-V had a hardcap of 100 episodes and they knew from the start they would be able to cut the filler and get to the plot. Instead they can just drag the show along at whatever pace they want.

25 episodes for Standard, 25 at most for Synchro, 10 for Xyz and like 20 for Fusion at most. Stop having duels take whole episodes if only like 3 or 4 turns happen. Stop panning to other characters.

Yugioh isn't the only show with a large cast. Gash Bell has an enormous cast and can develop characters in 1 episode more than whole series do across arcs. Take the filler out and Gash Bell isn't 150 episodes. It's closer to 100.

Well, the only real bloat in synchro is the amount of time watching the duels between minor characters. Aside that, the narrative flows pretty well.

So, realistically, the best option would be to cut down the duels and try putting two duels in each of the less important duel eps, that way you get the gist of stuff like BEE FORCE and Yuzu's attempts at cheering up Yuya without having full eps devoted to them.
