They don't have to old Gainax animators that had worked on it (Yoshinari, Anno, Imaishi) so it will inevitably fall short.

FLCL was a combination of a weird story and a respect for great music. The Pillows made the soundtrack for the anime, not the other way around. If it's just going to be more adventures of HHH, I'll be disappointed.
