Generally speaking anything from F91, 0080 or 0083 is really damn nice, I can't think of a single bad design from any of these and pretty much all of their designs looked great.

Lately everything seems to be paying too much homage to the really wobbly designs of 0079, whereas in the late 80s- early 90s designers were making huge efforts to refine those designs. The Hygogg >>142701639 is a great example this.

I've always loved everything that was shown in 08th MS Team, especially the Ez8. It reflected on actual wartime circumstances in how it was essentially a Frankenstein construction made out of components from several different mobile suits, which seemed more real compared to other mobile suits in its era.

See, that's what I liked about the Federation mobile suits featured in 08th MS Team: they were not special snowflakes protected by plot armor, they were the average grunt's Gundam: only slightly better than a ground type GM while sharing a majority of parts with it. There was more of an emphasis on teamwork and unit cohesion. Like you said, it's a shame that the plot of the series itself was so fucking bad. However, nothing would beat 0083 in terms of shitty plot.

The mouth wasn't actually shooting beams, it was just a vent for expelling heat. Same for the radiator fins. The F91 ran hot as fuck due to its bio-computer, so it needed a fuckton of additional cooling. That's why it started glowing during the final fight, and how it literally melts off the uppermost layers of its armor to create afterimages with mass.

Exia, Zeta, X, Crossbone, and God are all really good. Generally, I like the minimal designs. Mk2 and the original RX-78-2 are great too.

You do know how beam rotors don't work like regular rotors, right? All it does is lighten the MS through fancy Minovsky magic so that it can do the same shit with regular boosters using less fuel. The Graze and Grimgerde, I agree with completely. Wasn't fond of the Kimaris but I did like the Gusion Rebake, even if it did look a bit silly.
