From my understanding of what he did, he stuck the fingers of his right hand into his chest, touching his heart and had his ability do what it normally does: change the properties of his aura (between substances of varying elasticity) to get a pumping action with his hand around his heart.

The only reason I don't like Hisoka's revival is because his emotions didn't seem clear enough. With someone like Pitou whose convictions were her natural born purpose I can understand, and the spiders were afraid of something happening if they killed Kurapika which makes total sense since he's been sitting on the world's nastiest grudge for years, but Hisoka just seemed to be like "lol just revive me"? Honestly the first thing to go would be his heart muscle tissue and brain. Heart muscle he should easily be able to compensate with nen (however that's technically not too feasible either. These days patients with heart failure essentially get pumps to act as the heart but squeeze too much and you can damage the organ and the blood vessels, pump too little and you'll get awfully dizzy. Fact is, organ printing has been around for a long time, but one of the big problems is they can't find an acceptable scaffold that will get rejected by the body to grow the organs around. Hisoka wouldn't even have that problem.

So many conditions like heart failure are due to the organ not contracting properly or incorrect elasticity. Hisoka wouldn't need to worry about it. Neuron damage - well he could replace that too. The insulation disappearing of his nerves? Fix it with his ability.

Texture surprise was always a thing, the rubber parts were always within possibilities and they are most likely temporary. I remember Biscuit has to sacrifice part of her potential for aesthetics, the one guy with phantom limbs or other scrubs from the Tower were bleeding Nen to perform multiple tasks at once and Razor too couldn't perform at 100% because he was one of the folks keeping GI together. The possibilities like that spring feet action might look appealing, but in the long run this phantom limb is a hindrance.

It hurts my head when people call hisoka's tactic of revival an asspull. Maybe you could say the scenario was somewhat contrived, but an asspull? Most people wouldn't even be able to accomplish this feat, since you'd have to be completely prepared of the prospect of death... It's his ultimate trump card, people are just idiots when they say it's an asspull. If his body was destroyed then he woukd be really DEAD. But they didn't destroy his body thinking it was over. HxH is the greatest shounen ever written, I'm sorry to you fanboys of mangas like fairy tail or naruto or bleach who are mad but there won't be any asspulls in a series like this.

Eventually they would age, their body would break down beyond their ability to heal it, they'd lose their ability to focus, they'd lose the will to live, they'd just keep dying over and over if they were revived once it got really bad. It's another reason I like the chapter. Really played with the expectations. People were thinking he would put both Hisoka and the spiders aside. That this fight would be unrelated and just tie a loose end. Togashi just flipped all of that.

Chrollo leaving Machi, Shalnark, and Koltopi with Hisoka's corpse seems intentional. For one, Chrollo has never underestimated Hisoka's capabilities despite beating him so soundly. Instead, Chrollo ponders at how interesting humanity is whenever he looks at the clown. Machi is a big softie making her one of the more "morally right" members of the Troupe, and her history with Hisoka means that she would be unable to stop him. The rest of the Troupe wouldn't question Chrollo's decision to leave her with him because she is one of the better fighters. As for Shalnark and Koltopi, they're weak, so having Hisoka kill them while shedding crocodile tears would be the safest way to get rid of them.

Luci(l)fer lures people to him with his charisma and promises of false hope, and that's why he was "voted" into a position of power. All Chrollo has to do is feign sadness, but the fight with Hisoka shows that Chrollo views humans as tools. That belief may very well extend to the Troupe because of their initiation ritual. The troupe is full of tools who wouldn't question Chrollo's every whim. Chrollo is sympathetic towards Judas, which is why he harbors no hatred towards Hisoka. Not only that, but the whole rule of "you can only join the Spider if you kill one of its members" shows that he only wants the strongest of tools to be his "legs." The whole game of cat and mouse between Chrollo and Hisoka can also be interpreted as Chrollo walking alongside death as Melody described him.
