I agree. Just find that every HxH arc was a parody of anime or movies genres: Hunter Exam (Shounens), Heaven's Arena (Tournament Arcs), York Shin (Noire/Police-Drama), Greed Island (Card Games/Sports), Chimera Ants (Horror/Seinen), Dark Continent (exploration anime like OP). it's fucking art.

It's not particularly similar to One Piece aside from genre, and neither are any more 'for adults' than the other. It's supposed to be taken more seriously and is arguably more mature/better written, but adults like fun too.
