If you don't know the series, generally it's not worth paying too much for them unless the figure is so good you really, really want it. And given that you're asking if it's worth it, I'm assuming that isn't the case.

Personally, it looks decent enough if it is in the figma-tier price range, but as I'm not a fan of figmas or anything not scale in general I can't really say more on that. Overall, probably not worth it, if I were you I'd at least sleep on it before deciding. And if you're still undecided, then no.

I've thought about getting one as well.
They come up off the floor, have adjustable shelves, and are much wider and deeper than Detolfs.

They seem like a great fit for tall and wide figures that won't fit in bookcases or Detolfs, yet they don't use vertical space well as they're very short. If Ikea came out with a taller version I'd be all over it.

I personally don't find them that short (But then, I'm a 5'9" manlet) as they come up to my chin. The increase to other dimensions also helps make up for it, as well as the lowest level still being raised up.

A bigger drawback I'd say is that it only comes with 2 shelves making for 3 levels which, given the size of most figures, doesn't make for the most efficient use of space.

I'd recommend picking up some extra glass shelves at IKEA, or failing that some acrylic stands off Hobby-Search or some such, to make better use of the space.

I think you have to have the collecting itch and probably collected cards before in your life.

I've collected Pokemon, Magic, and Yugioh and I'll say there is a nice feeling about handling cards, looking at them, flipping through them, shuffling them. I actually bought some Tales of Symphonia playing cards the other day for the simply because they were cheap and I liked how they looked.

I also kind of liked how the US edition Estival Versus came with cards and I think possibly acquiring a whole set if something I'd like to try.

Card sleeves I would probably never buy unless the back was really nice or I was just going to use them for collection purposes. Not sure if it has changed in the past couple years, but from experience I pretty much never really cared for the sleeves with pictures because they handled and shuffled poorly. The only sleeves I personally remember being any different were those which mimicked the back of an actual Magic card. Solid colors were usually the best and what you'd see most people with.

Anime sleeves (And playmats) also have something of stigma, but for me it was always about what felt best.

First you have to hope that the good you wanted shows up at Yahoo auction / Suruga-ya / Rakuten. Then you have to hope that the good is labeled unused (do you really want a used daki?). Finally, you pray that the daki is really unused without any real guarantees. All the while you are playing the huge aftermarket price if the good is limited. I regret nendoroid windwaker link. I'm not the biggest Zelda fan and I only bought him because I paid like $25 locally. I don't regret any of my scales or other nendos. My personal rules with buying figures are:

>Only buy characters if know the series they are from and actually like them
>Only buy if it is interesting to look at or has a neat pose

For example I wouldn't buy anything of a lot of my favorite characters because their figures are just standing in a school uniform or something boring. If I don't know the figure's source material and I just like the design I make sure to think about it for awhile before biting the bullet. I don't (usually) impulse buy and I can only afford to buy one or two figures a month unless I save up so I only buy stuff I really, really like. It's working so far.
