Some of the old designs especially on school idol festival are shit compared to modern ones though so overall it was positive.

Hanayo is eternally cute. I think some of the designs could use a bit of work but I dig the flat shading they went for with the hair. Between this and what we got though, this feels far more amateur.

4th PV was the first time the distinct "Love Live" art style showed up but I think they updated the character designs a bit more after that.

If you want to read into Honoka's character a bit more deeply, especially in the anime, she actually has some self-esteem issues and major insecurities.
