How is part 4 of the anime compared to the other 3? Is it QUALITY?

Also, I've read the manga all the way up until about a third of the way through part 6. Please tell me it gets better later or that either of the next two are worth reading.

It's probably the best adaptation so far. Of course there's QUALITY every so often but it's not bad at all. Part 6 has always been pretty divisive but the second half is generally considered way better than the first half, it's also the most flat out insane section of possibly any shonen manga ever. And Part 7 is one of the best Parts, it switches to monthly after 23 chapters and it has the best art and writing by far. The second half is probably the best the series has ever been. Part 8 is going strong as well, if Araki finishes it well then it will probably turn out even better than Part 7.

You need to finish Part 6 though, the beginning is meh and the middle drags on a bit longer than it needed to but the second half is generally considered worth it.

I'm like halfway through watching Stardust Crusaders, and I don't really plan on watching Diamond is Unbreakable until it finishes airing so I can just marathon it. That said, one of the things I really like about the first three parts is the aspect of them traveling around and getting into shenanigans and meeting enemies. Does Diamond is Unbreakable have that at all, or is just like set in a Japanese town or whatever?

It's set firmly in Morioh but you actually see a lot of the town explored, it's no regular place and it's pretty wacky and comfy. That said it's not AS big of an adventure as the rest of the parts, but it's still a great adventure.
Part 4's the comfiest part there is though because of the setting, so I wouldn't say it subtracts at all

Part 4 is set entirely in one town, but it's handled very well and doesn't feel confined or anything like that. You still get to see different parts of the town and meet new characters (in 4, not everyone they fight ends up being an enemy) so it actually doesn't feel that different despite the main conflict being way lower stakes than prior parts. Even if you don't end up liking it, Part 5 has the main group travelling across Italy and the second half of Part 6 is a prison breakout and trying to make it to Cape Canaveral. Part 7 is a reboot but it's main plot point is literally that it's a race across the entire United States. So you have plenty to look forward to.
