So she has to die after they won,just so Simon and the viewer don't get a happy ending

I've always thought that it makes more sense for Nia to have been a being created by Lord Genome rather than just another taken child. It seems like the movies lean that way as well with all the talk of her being a virtual entity. That even connects to the artificial form Genome has and how he mentions he doesn't regret such an existence if it can open a path for others. From there it ties into how Simon refuses to become a god by not overwriting her existence. Essentially, keeping her would prove the anti-spirals right about the inevitability of the spiral nemesis.

I think the movies are really the superior package, even though a lot of Viral's arc and most of Rossiu's entire character get cut.
