Serpico's feather sword can do a sword wind attack, but that's pretty short-ranged too.

But the IoE doesn't have a "will" in the traditional sense. IoE is the combined will and consciousness of humanity.

Maybe Griffith's obsession with Guts is even worse, now he only wants to see Guts despair and for that not only has Guts to fight the benign ruler of the kingdom and tons of soldiers who try to protect him but also after he finally 'killed' Griffith, everyone across the world hunts him.
While Griffith will just pretend to be dead and only appear to his apostles as femto for the time. Finally he will activate his spell or whatever and take his whole kingdom to do whatever kinda like in FMA.

Why did Griffith try to have Rickert killed? It was pointless. Sure Rickert refused and slapped him in front of everyone, but he's hardly going to go on a vengeful crusade like Guts and seems happy to let everyone live in their fantasy world in Falconia. He was a fringe threat at best, but is a bigger threat now that he's teamed up with Kushan remnants. Seems like Griffith letting emotion get the better of him again, and we all know how it turned out the last time.

There are couple things, philosophically and religiously that you (and common belief held) are mistaken about.

1. Lucifer did not exist. At the very least, he did not exist as a divine being, did not exist before mankind, does not rule Hell. Zodd respects the Skull Knight more and doesn't join up with him ever. They just fight. Because Zodd just wants to fight. As for him respecting Griffith, he HAS to. He is so compelled by his own Apostle nature that he will forsake all his pride to serve him. Only the weird masked apostel, Raksas, seems to want to kill Griffith and we don't know why. The closest you'd be to correct would be when Guts was, like, 5-years-old and even then wasn't "gangly." Gambino worked him as hard as he possibly could. Guts was tough. Tough enough to kill the dude who raped him in battle the next day. As for biting off more than he could chew, that literally has only happened against apostles and the Hand of God, and EVEN THEN that only applies to Zodd and Griffith: he defeated every single other apostle he's come across and with the help of Skull Knight has evaded everything the Hand of God have exposed him to.

If people are worried about spoiling Berserk, in a Berserk thread on /a/ then they're being ridiculous. It started in 1999. The last chapter was released in December. This is, AT BEST, a monthly manga and that was very early on. From 2012 to 2014, there was a 67 week break. NO chapters came out in 2013. This was followed by a 5, 11, 7 and then 43 week long break. Only six chapters came out last year, all because Miura got motivated and did one a month from July-December. He's stopped again and it's been 36 weeks and counting.

There's nothing to spoil about Berserk. No new chapter is out and it's been going on a long time.

And besides, my point isn't that Guts was weak, because we all know that he isn't and that the story is fundamentally about him being stronger than strong.

My point is that it's stupid to compare a child to a full grown man, who also happens to be just about the manliest man who has ever lived. Shierke would have felt exactly the same way about Guts as she does about Isidro if they had met when he was young, because even if the "power-levels" aren't comparable, Isidro and young Guts are very similar personality wise.

Boys and girls are often antagonistic to each other when they're young.

But hermit Schierke would be dope and subversive, and personally I like the idea better now that you mention it, even if I doubt it'll play out that way.
