Nausicaa the film, so much better than the manga. Only thing it has over the film is Kushana's backstory being more interesting. But overall as visual-narrative works the manga doesn't stand a chance.

The Wind Rises is my favorite.

I see it as an allegory for his philosophy, his romanticism, and his relationship with art. I think it's the most personal of his films.
