There is a possible scenario that was hinted before. The Volume 11 might be already finished for the most part, because originally it was suppose to be Vol. 10.
The delay wasnt caused by changes to what he already wrote but because he had to write "new" Volume 10 basically from scratch since editors demanded more closure after the war.

Hard to say, but from what was show so far, I would say Solution. She is the most logical and professional among the meidos. Yuri seems to be the smart type but she has so little screen time that it's hard to say how smart she is. Lupu seems to be decently smart too as she was able to rapidly mentally visualize what was assumed to be Ainz' supposed plan and conceptualize the end result, but her laziness and irresponsible nature makes her lose some points. CZ didn't show anything, but as a robot I guess she should be the logical type. I don't have anything to say about Entoma and Narberal is a retard and everyone knows it.

Which is to say that he's plenty capable without the cash items. He was renowned in Ygg for being one of the best skill users even in spite of his build which wasn't minmaxed and was primarily made for roleplaying purposes.

In Vol. 9 he only used that cash item to speed up the casting of Shub-Niggurath because he wanted to appear flashy and also because he knew the soldiers were getting antsy and he wanted to speed up the process. He doesn't need that cash-shop item to cast that spell though.

Ainz mentions in volume 8 that demons like Albedo (and, by extension, Demiurge) don't need food to survive, but eating is not impossible for them. Seeing how in one of the CD dramas Ainz orders every Guardian to have a full meal every day (correct me if I'm wrong, I think it was the same CD drama where he forced everyone to have days off), Albedo and Demiurge have to eat now. They apparently have human-like organs and bodily fluids, too (Albedo mentions having blood, Demiurge mentions his heart in volume 6). Would that mean that, once they eat something, it gets processed the same way a human body would do it, and they have to use a bathroom afterwards? Or are their digestive systems strong enough to process anything without leaving any waste behind?

Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu has a kind of interesting premise, and I love science fiction, but emphasis on teenage romance and muh mysterious new transfer student who just happens to be a cute girl are red flags for me (for some reason, this cliche is only good when the mc is also a girl, like with Nanoha or Madoka).

Qualia the Purple has an interesting concept and might be surreal, which I like, but it would work better in visual format. Will pick up the manga, not sure about the LN.

Still gonna stick with skeletons, though. Overlord might be subpar when it comes to politics and have tacky fanservice, but characters are god tier and the story managed to be surprising a couple of times.

What am I going to judge these by if not by the first things I see, though? I have to decide whether I want to start reading them or not. These you recommended look good (even the trap with a harem one, I guess, at least the psychology aspect might make it work for me), but I'm not one of "literature is patrician, visuals are for plebs" people. There are tons of shitty books (even some which are hailed as classics), and some superior anime, films, comics etc. Almost everything can be made into an anime, and almost every anime can be novelised. If it's written, it's literature. Another facet of entertainment and something to pass time with. "How it's written" and "does it actually have some thought put into it" is just a metric of quality on how someone is able tell a story they as an author want.

Most of the time one doesn't go around wanking "that's not literature, this is!" and manage to come across as anything other than massive tool. Thanks for the recs though, I'll check out Qualia, the rest don't put up decent hook to be of interest.

of course that's what everyone judges something by on first glance, what i'm saying is to not completely dismiss it until you at least try it because things aren't always what they appear to be on the surface (mostly referring to the "harem shit - pass" comment here). just think of anime like utena or whatever, the short description + art pretty much tells you nothing about what it really is.

since i'm on /a/ i'm neither, but i tend to prefer something "fun" in anime/mango format, whereas something that tries to convey a meaningful message is usually done better in text, simply because of the limitations of the former medium.

disagree here. the amount of works i could count here that is impossible to port without losing the essence of the works is nigh endless. e.g. anime where the strong point is the directing, and books where the strong point lies in the vivid prose.

Tabletop can introduce ANY mechanic because it's DM based, and more importantly has no fucking cost to 'play', just pen and paper. That's dirt cheap, and 99% is imagination. You could fucking even get away without the pen and paper so long as people don't give too much of a shit about logs and you could be retarded and LARP at the same time if you want. That's how basic it is.

You don't have that in BG, IWD, NWN, etc etc, let alone an MMO.

More importantly D&D is usually (keyword usually) just a campaign type game. Your character wouldn't persist forever, because usually you'd be bored, or your character is too powerful, or the DM can't come up with enough material, etc etc. It's all imagination so anything's possible, but the majority of D&Ders certainly don't fucking 'main' a character and keep using it for 10+ years spending thousands of hours on that single character.
