I like Kurapika because I think he's the most interesting character between main4. I love how dramatically has he changed compared to his old self but still remained strong-willed. Cheerful or gloomy, Kurapika is always purposeful and his goals significantly affect the plot.

I think it's hostage situation, when at first he lost control and nearly beat Chrollo to death showing his human side and then still returned his friends forcing all spiders to dance to his tune is what make me respect him the most.

I don't know why but he reminds me A LOT of the hero in Basilisk, the character is basically built up a lot, without the spectator being shown anything. He looks like a fighter, skilled with a sword, but we eventually learn that his power is simply that he reverses the homicidal intent of anyone who meets his stare, with some kind of hypnosis.

i would guess pariston isn't a straight up fighter, but relies on some form of trickery to get the upper hand. like, he can do significant damage, but his real power lies in his hatsu and how he uses it.

i'm not sure /how/ exactly though. an illusion ability involving controlling/exuding light could suit him. he could also use it to plunge a room in darkness or focus all the light on himself. would fit with the sparkle motif, but might not be complicated enough.

something like conditional invulnerability could work too. like, maybe he can't be harmed and can't harm others unless he and his opponent(s) agree to a set of rules for combat? the rules could even affect their nen in some way. that could be nightmarish and also make each battle into a unique game.

it's hard to say. i really want to see him (and ging) go all out. any ideas?
