Bullies are one of my favorite love interest archetypes. They seem genuinely bad and have a hostile personality rather than the Tsundere who actually is already in love or the usual delinquent who is actually a big softie. Seeing them getting "tamed" by the protagonist feels much more satisfying than the usual Tsundere.

This. Being an adult has its downsides(like responsibility and the lack of support), but at least most people around me treat me as a human being now, not just as a target for bullying/jokes, and most of them don't even mind me being socially awkward(almost Tomoko tier).

My school life was actually alright, I was bullied at the start of high school but then I became friends with my bullies and become untouchable.

I still hated it, everyday was horrible and boring. I had good friends but the shit that went down in school was disgusting, shit that would get you arrested or vilified in the real world.

I almost gave up on humanity when I see a dude get his school bag stolen, surrounded by a bunch of guys and spit on constantly.

I also know some people who were sheltered all their lives and got bullied for being shy and having no social skills.
