Anyway, this flashback is brilliant. This isn't a flashback that provides motivation or goals to either of these girls. Katori's family is okay, Hana's is lost but it wasn't the best family, Hana joins Border just because of the benefits, Katori halfassedly comes along.

It's just miserable and horrible and harsh and you can see why tensions are probably high for Katori Squad in present day. This explains things, but doesn't excuse anything. It's great.

I'm usually pretty immune to gore, but finger injuries always get to me (this, Joyline Jostar's power, and Higurashi nail scene to name a few).

The cleaner image always makes things better and worse depending on the scene too. In this finger scene makes it harder for me to stare but now with the clean image I can appreciate the pages with the Katori household like>>141908340 since now I notice that Yoko has a strait mix of both of her parents hair, while the dirty scans made it look like both her parents had normal hair while Yoko had the weird gradient.
The crap scans actually made me come up with a theory that Yoko because a self serving only in for the money as she grew older type. Since if you notice that Katori house its old, small, made entirely out of wood, and it was inherited from their grandparents suggesting the Katori household had financial troubles. So the extra money from border finally allowed Yoko money on beauty products.
But nope, throw all that out, Yoko just has a mix of her parents hair. Which is better than my beauty product whoring version of her. Instead she just has natural beauty.

I don't really see her succeeding here. Kakizaki's flashback followed him ordering Teruya to go after Chika, and was interspersed with fight and an internal monologue about what his mistakes up to that point had been. Leading up to the 'reward' of inflicting major damage on Yuma.

Katori's flashback hasn't had any of that. It's just an explanation of why Katori and Hana joined Border. Which isn't anything particularly deep. They lost their homes to the first invasion, and Hana lost her parents. Hana then joined Border seeking the opportunities that they offered, and Katori basically tagged along to help her out. It also establishes that Katori's laziness is a long standing character flaw.

There's nothing to show Katori getting insight into what's wrong with her behavior. She's the same as she's been. The only thing she's got going for her at the moment is that she's pissed off that Osamu and Yuma are undeterred by bouncing off the top B-rank teams, and possibly that they have high minded ideals for reaching the top, when she just has pride and personal gain on the line.

That shouldn't be enough for her to do anything. At best spite will make her stop caring about scoring points, enabling her to damage Yuma enough that he bails out giving Kakizaki unit the point, herself being defeated in the process.

Either way, I expect her to be defeated without scoring any points next chapter. Leaving Teruya as the only threat.

On that note, assuming that Katori gets BTFO, how do people think T-2 will deal with Teruya? Will she miss a dodge and get lead bullet sniped by Chika? Will she reach Chika only to be the first victim of Chika using an asteroid or hound lead bullet? Will Osamu and Yuma intercept and defeat her before she gets to Chika?

Snipers seem to be stuck with normal bullets, with the exception of lead bullet. There might be other triggers like lead bullet, that act as modifiers to pre-existing bullets, but we haven't seen any yet.

Also, I don't know why you're conflating a victory with 'brawn' because getting a full 8 points is very much a case of them out playing their opponents, which is something Hyuse would appreciate. Besides, they're only at 4 points right now. Even if they take out Katori they'd only have 5 points. If Teruya gets Chika and then draws herself into a defensive battle to wait out the time limit they lose the point they would get from her as well as the bonus survival points. I think you are oversimplyfying it. Guns just help them control their trion better which isn't a bad idea at all if you don't have as much as certain shooters. Also I guess sometimes the more tools the more confusing it can get. So you still need to quickly judge which weapon is best and draw it. And of course use it so there's more weapons to master and come up with tactics.

It's more like they're more efficient and you are really underestimating the difficulty of using Shooter triggers. Even the best Shooters seem to have to take time to ready their Trion, calculate and distribute their shot's attributes, and then fire. They are much harder to use with a payoff that only seems become worth it if you can invest a lot of time into developing your skills with them, at the expense of other kinds of training. There's probably a good reason few All-Rounders we've seen so far combine their melee weapons with Shooter triggers. The opportunity cost of training for Shooter triggers seems pretty high for most people.

It's actually not that complicated. Just a little tedious.

You don't need a Japanese credit card. You do, however, need a Japanese google play card. You can buy them online and they'll send you the code electronically.

I was going to make a post about this before, but after game updates, issues tend to pop up (and make the gem shop crash more often) so I abstained, but the main points are:

1. Make sure you can access the gem shop without it crashing. Do this before you buy the Japanese google play cards. You will need a google account that thinks you're from Japan and a vpn that will connect you to the Japanese server.
Sometimes the gem shop will still crash. Try turning on/off your phone, the vpn, logging on/off your Japanese google account, etc.

2. You need to your google account "set up" to take Japanese currency, and the easiest way to set it up is through Google Wallet.

Besides, Osamu is actually a really shitty Shooter and a hybrid All-Rounder no less. Hyuse on deck with Viper, Hound, and Asteroid offer more to the team than another Attacker. He can serve in an offensive capacity to help them earn points while being a midrange support with Shooter triggers.

The shooter triggers scale the bullets as well. Remember Osamu using Asteroid with Chika's trion? The problem is that none of the gunner or shooter triggers are specifically built for speed the way that the Lightning is. That would probably make it more difficult to get shooter lead bullets up to speed.

I don't think this recent match is a good representative sample of how they fight though. Yoko has been way on tilt and the team environment is already bad, made worse by the constant bickering.

I'm pretty sure on their way to the top the first time around Yoko was acting more like an Ace should and the other would move accordingly. If their stats are to be believed, they're all decent enough. This has just been an especially trying match for them.

Katori has the ability that puts her on par with some of the lower A-rank agents while her two support seem skilled enough that they wouldn't seem out of place in the mid/upper-mid B-ranks.

Not entirely implausible. Teruya's goal isn't to take out Chika at all costs, her goal is to get points. If getting to Chika is proving too difficult, it would make sense to try and finish off Yuma, and maybe get Osamu or Katori as well. She was after all the one who wanted to try a sneak attack on Yuma and Katori, and she was thinking about how Chika's sniping was getting more accurate.

The problem is, last we saw her, she was still intent on going after Chika, and was thinking she just needed to dodge one more shot. That was before Yuma arrived at that fight, and before Katori's teammates were defeated, and little time has passed. She'd have to change plans the moment she heard that Yuma was going to support Osamu instead of coming after her. Those are Sniper Triggers and as noted, markedly different from Gunner Triggers. The various guns however, have other preset parameters. There's the Assault Rifle Trigger, the Pistol Trigger, and the Shotgun, etc. They all presumably have their own varied speed/accuracy/power adjustments.

Shooter Triggers require the Shooter to program and set all of the parameters for every salvo they shoot, even if they've already used a particular configuration earlier in a fight. These spoiler websites are aggregator sites that don't care whether the spoilers are true as long as people come and read them and the sites get to serve them adverts. It's always been this way. Anybody can type up a chapter title.

Odds are decent both websites are just taking the spoilers from some 4chan thread, or one site is taking it from the other site.

And from what's been claimed to be the contents of the chapter so far, Yoko Katori 2 would not make much sense as a title. We'll see soon enough I suppose, but for now I'm taking them with a grain of salt. At this stage of the match it would not be difficult to come up with plausible fake spoilers.

There are plenty of kogetsu users. Ko, Kuma, Arafune, Hisato from Suwa squad, all of Kakizaki squad, Wakamura from Katori squad, Miwa, Yoneya, Arashiyama and Tokieda all use Kogetsu. And there's probably from the B-ranks we haven't seen. I'd say there's a good balance of both Scorpion and Kogetsu, Scorpion is just flashier and easier to use for tricky-types like Jin and Yuma.
