Did you even read or watch Fist of the North Star?
Ken isn't gentlemanly. He's not going to go out of his way to hold doors open for old ladies. He's kind hearted to women and children and good to his allies but that isn't the same. He's basically the 80s action hero personified, crossed with Bruce Lee. If anything Jotaro at the end of his arc is most like him, except Ken isn't autistic and it's believable that he fucked his waifu.
Jonathan is a gentlemanly, scholarly warrior with a sword that has the power of the sun in his fists.
Ken fights Mad Max thugs and martial arts masters and wears leather while Jonathan fights zombies and vampires and wears old timey gentleman clothes or a tank top and backpack.
Kenshiro is stoic, Jonathan is friendly.

The comparisons are really fucking reaching, man. Undoubtedly Ken was Araki's inspiration for the first three Jojos and the art styles are similar in those early parts to Tetsuo Hara's. But it ends there.
In fact I heard in an interview Araki hates HnK. Which is a shame since it's a great manga, but still.

You could read the manga. Every movie except the one in the 80s is fucking horrible, and the one from the 80s skips more than half of the story up to where it ends.
Honestly the anime is pretty great in so far as music and voice acting, cheap animation aside. There will never be a Kenshiro, Rei, or Raoh voice actor that can top the original anime seiyuu. There's probably a list of filler episodes out there to skip. Also, the anime does Shin's character way better. Filler stops happening mostly after Shin's arc (first 20 or so episodes) really anyway, and a lot of that filler is repurposed enemy of the week stuff from the manga. Also, HnK2 is pretty cool until they get to the part where they retcon Ken, Toki, and Raoh's backstories. It also starts getting fillery in the anime towards that point again.
Really though the music (even just the standard bgm) and the voice acting makes the anime more than worth it.

Just searched for it since I said it was on youtube, I can only find the dubbed and unsubbed Japanese versions. Sorry. I think it should be on Crunchyroll though, so you can watch it there at least.
Also as a little side note the movie was made since a lot of people complained about the gore/violence censorship in the anime, so it's got a decent amount of that if you can get your hands on the uncensored version.
I'd still recommend at least checking out the anime's soundtrack at some point, and the key scenes, if you decide to just read it (I love the art but the music and va is just that good). I hope you enjoy yourself.

JJL is paced better for a monthly release with. SBR is way better to read in quick succession because of how it's paced and structured. JJL, even in the early chapters, was always advancing the plot each chapter even if we didn't know how at the time and it was a pretty slow burn at first, whereas SBR still had some of that earlier part structure where each fight was mostly compartmentalised and there was no plot progression some chapters except for progressing certain fights, which is perfectly fine it just worked better in a weekly release since you get chapters 4 times as often. The past 2 years of JJL have been really good to read monthly, we get a decent amount of new information each chapter, more than a lot of SBR chapters even though JJL chapters tend to be shorter. The Damo arc is the best JJBA has been to read in real time since the series has gone monthly, there's pretty much the perfect mix of new content, plot revelations etc each chapter to make it feel really worth it to read, something I didn't get as much of in SBR which is much better to be binge read imo. The waits are long but they feel less boring and more exciting because I legitimately want to know what happens next.
