I did some MASSIVE (to my standards) redrawing on this, can anyone check if it looks okay?

Once my black wasn't really *black* in someone else's monitor (I use a TV) so if you could check if the tones match too, I'll appreciate.

If you can't figure where I had to redraw it's a good thing I guess, but here is what I did:

joined 2 pages and drew the in between both

Source is pages 27-28 from this: http://exhentai.org/g/935755/db9b2ccb85/

You can use a levels adjustment layer to check whether your blacks are black
>>

Holy crap I have no idea what you meant, but I googled it and found that I can apply levels without directly changing the RAW layer.

I always changed the RAW and had to check if the redraw layer was matching, especially for patterns... yeah I'm THAT noob.

Thank you anon.

> my black wasn't really *black* in someone else's monitor
How the hell can you work on something without doing basic calibration?

You need to check that your TV displays the full range RGB (0-255) instead of video range RGB (16-235).
— Turn off all “optimizations”, useless preset modes, etc.
— Disable overscan, underscan, etc.
— Set the “PC mode” or “full range mode” for your PC video input, if it's available.
— Check that everything is right in video driver settings.
— Open Lagom LCD test site in fullscreen, reset the brightness/contrast/gamma/color temperature settings and set them up properly.

In rare case of a TV that can't unfuck the full range signal, you can still set the video driver to compress the full range picture to video range. You'll have some banding, but relative positions of all color values will be kept.

You should also normalize your raws so that full black is zero and full white is 255, just don't ruin the picture in process because you don't understand what you're doing.

Not at home at the moment, but it's mostly Shounen Sunday stuff, Ganbare Genki, TOY, A few volumes of Aoi Honoo, Bucchigiri, and a single volume of a manga by the guy who worked on cromartie high.

What/where is the goddess? I literally have not looked for scans/raws since 2014ish since I've kinda gotten used to just buying my own or asking friends to share what they have, etc.

This. I've been wanting to rip a lot of shit that I can buy but I can't because all the public ways are dead.
>>
>>141839669
>convincing the jew that has the tool to hand it over
I'd be more than willing if someone would actually work out some way to share it that wouldn't immediately get it reposted everywhere although I guess jcafe is down right now anyway.
>>
>>141839704
My case exactly. Recently I stopped buying magazines altogether since they're all being ripped but I'll most likely be buying those when they're out and will have no way of ripping them. To each his own, I guess.
>>
>>141839669

>convincing the jew that has the tool to hand it over

Nice try, Nip Publisher.
>>
>>141839781
If that shithole is dead wouldn't now be a good way to share it? Preferably in a paste that would expire in less than 5 minutes. That has been working out for the script at least.
>>
>>141839886

>wouldn't now be a good way to share it?

See >>141839848

These threads have been made by a JCafe faggot lately anyway, not sharing is in everyone's best interest. It takes one idiot to ruin a good thing.
>>
>>141839827
In my case I've kept buying some of the stuff since I want to save on shipping, but it pains me having to watch a translator use his cam photos to translate something and know it will be be typeset. Then again this is KanColle shit I'm talking about so I'm pretty sure a lot of the board would prefer it disappears.
>>
>>141839961
>know it will be be typeset.
Know it will never be typeset*
>>
>>141839957
Like I said, the script has been shared a couple of times with great success. Sounds to me you're that one faggot trying to make money out of this by making sure no one else has it.
>>
>>141839886
If Jcafe ever does come back up, I'm sure someone would just post it there, and the person I got it from asked me to not share it so I'd rather not torpedo any chances I have of getting possible future updates.

>>141840008
That's not me.
>>
>>141840008

There actually is one colossal faggot on JCafe making money with his own script. I can rip it for free if you make a dummy account and buy the ebook(s).
>>
>>141839961
Yeah, I still buy tanks and take advantage of some promotions. In my case I don't mind paying for shipping but there's nothing like reading it right away instead of waiting at least a week to get it.
>>
>>141840108
We've been through this countless times already, no one is going to fall for your scam.
>>
>my typesetter hasn't responded to my emails in 2 weeks

They said they would contact me again later but nothing so far. At least I know they're okay since they keep updating their blog. I just hope they don't think I'm not interested anymore.
>>
>>141840361
Pretty much this. I've bought quite a fair number of stuff off EBJ, some of which are stuff I've heard people want raws of. However, all these bullshit is just too much a hassle so I can't be arsed to try and share them.
>>
>>141840614
>some of which are stuff I've heard people want raws of
Such as?
>>
>>141840425
If you also buy the stuff you want then there's no need to stress your reply by quoting me three times. I'm a translator who sometimes acts as a physical raw provider and simply wanted to share whatever I've been buying digitally. I only have one account that I use to buy everything. Making a dummy account would mean buying everything again. I'd rather keep my collection to myself if you're going to make things unnecessarily difficult. I have literally nothing to lose here except the time and effort I put on this reply.

Last I heard, there aren't any public raws for the last 2 volumes of Wombs and Shirai Yumiko's other stuff. Someone also wanted Working Re-Order and a couple of extra/special chapters of Servant x Service that supposedly aren't in the tanko release.

Also, haven't keep track but I vaguely remember people wanting better raws for Kingdom though I'm assuming they have those now.

I want volumes 1-9 of the master edition FotNS novels scanned but I doubt anyone will ever take up the challenge. They're already in English which helps, but they're expensive as diamonds and no one wants to unbind their copies. anyway, just wanted to thank anon-chan for providing anon-kun a way to rip things. i keep my promises and the three volumes of invisible joe was around monday.

i only found out later that i could've saved time just using OMD to rip it instead but whatever. i actually enjoyed reading the raw anyway while ripping it.
>>
>>141844828
>OMD
I thought that didn't work anymore?
>>
>>141845081
it just doesn't work with newer releases. i ripped a lot of older ones without any problems. any books releases starting from 2016 february gets the scrambled bullshit images.

that being said, is there a difference between the script ripping and OMD ripping? OMD files tend to be smaller even though the resolutions are the same while the script ripping files tend to be fucking huge. invisible joe volume 2 and 3 ripped on OMD was around 250-260mb while ripping it through the script was over 300mb.
>>
So I was thinking the other day how nice it would be to have a scriptable headless browser for manga ripping, so I googled it and found phantom.js. Has anyone tried it for ripping manga? Seems like it would be perfect for it.

>>
>>141862471
Said the faggot who isn't willing to share the fixed, invite only OMD.
>>
Why don't you just scan stuff instead of buying digital raws? You won't have a choice if the DRM gets strong enough.
>>
>>141862759
Because until then we do have a choice, and it saves time and effort that could be spent translating more shit.
>>
>>141862759
That's obviously an option.
But it requires you to have a proper scanner, the time to scan and rip it apart, and the time and skill to clean everything and to join spreads.
Even with strong DRM, you're still left with screen caps as long as there are no watermarks, or if they can be removed some way or another.
So, I still prefer digital since it's simply more practical and you can actually get the stuff on the same day as Japan.
And you don't need to pay twice the money the manga cost for shipping (depends on your country, but shipping to mine is this expensive).
>>
>>141862759
Because I use digital raws to read for myself, and then share if I can since it pretty much took no effort.

> Time to go back to Shinjuku Swan
>>
>>141862759
Because it's much, much cheaper, faster, colors and tones look better most of the time and even when they're not the ideal resolution and look a bit off, the amount of work required with scans isn't worth the difference when you resize and ready the pages for the upload, even worse if your editor fucking loves topaz. Try scanning and editing scans, then try ripping it digitally, compare both and see if it's worth the ridiculous amount of time and money you spent in the first one. Only exceptions would be manga with very shitty digital versions and doujinshi. Too bad most doujinka still aren't releasing digital.

31 year old Nakamaru Takehiko has trained all his life to never be disturbed by anything that the world throws at him. Whether dog poop begins to rain down from the heavens, or a human shaped strawberry monster shows up in front of him, his will never faltered. But when he realized that his existence in the house inhibits his sister from getting married, he panicked. In his panicked state, he left the house for Tokyo. Now homeless, he must find ways to survive in this world with only his iron will and the companions he finds along the way.

Paths work just fine, wherever I open the command line convert is working.
I extra paid attention to install legacy utilities and development libraries and headers while installing ImageMagick as well.

But still, when I run "gem install rmagick" it complains about not finding the libraries properly.
>Can't find the ImageMagick library.

And says to retry with path options, e.g.
>gem install rmagick -- '--with-opt-dir="C:Program FilesImageMagick-6.9.1-Q16"'

So I tried like this:
>gem install rmagick -- '--with-opt-dir="C:\ImageMagick_x86"'
(This is the correct path on my system.)

And it still can't find them. Tried changing the backslash to slash or removing it completely as well.
Definitely some issue with the paths, but I've no idea why it's refusing to work.

To stop translating altogether and read varied content. You shouldn't be translating at all when you still have issues understanding what you read. It's tempting but don't do it. Yeah, it's a pain. I wrote an AutoIt script (to work in combination with GreenShot) myself so I simply let it screen cap while I watch an anime or am away completely.

Down point is that the window needs to be active, but that doesn't bother me that much.

My screen isn't even big enough, I was just going to use my phone. The worst part is I've got another six volumes I'll have to do that for if I can ever find a translator.

Any way you could adapt it to work on EBJ's PC reader?

Just change the three "BOOKWALKER for Windows - Viewing screen" to the title of EBJ's reader.

I don't know what it is since I've nothing from there.
It will work if the next page button of it is Page Down.

You can set a custom screen resolution if you have Nvidia. I'm certain AMD has something like that as well, but I can't confirm.
