Western popularity poll results > Japanese popularity poll results
One weird thing is that the mutants in class B look way goofier than in Class A. Compare Tokoyami, Kouda, Mina and Shouji to Bondo, Jurota, Pony and Manga.
Are we going to see this animated in season 1?
Episode 8 - Chapter 11 + fillers showing other fights
Episode 9 - Chapters 12 + 13
Episode 10- Chapters 14 + 15
Episode 11- Chapters 16 + 17
Episode 12- Chapters 18 + 19
Episode 13- Chapters 20 + 21
Todoroki was one of the first characters he created after Deku, Ochako and Katsuki. Momo was supposed to be a pro hero, just like Tenya.
Mina is literally worse than Stain according to Japs.
>Satou "Sugarman" doesn't even have 1 vote
That is JUST sad.
picking between Mei and Mina is hard
Himiko is overrated though, so far she's an annoying psycho with not much character to talk about like most villains and she doesn't even look very cute.
People realising that Mt. Lady will barely feature for the rest of the series.
She was the MVP this chapter. She will shine again.
No this is one of the cases where nips have better taste
>TV ratings are inaccurate relics nowadays with everyone streaming
Latest BNHA Nico stream had 13K people in a country with 130 million. Guess how many people represent 1.0 points.
You missed one buds
>Her hair looks like a christmas tree
How did it take me so long to realize this?
His design is good, I'd buy a 13 plushie
I feel really sorry for Deku's mom
Seeing her son rip himself apart over and over again like that without being able to do anything to help or stop him is going to take years off her life
Why would Mei be popular? She's had like no screentime and only appeals to the 'shes so curazy just like me' hambeast crowd from her short appearance.
Mina has yet to get her spotlight but her design is 10/10
No Kaminari wanted to ask Jesus's killer out during the festival.
Her tears after this night will be devastating.
Horns that match the design
Mei is popular because she was a good comic relief for a single arc and it was nice to catch a glimpse of what the other departments are like, it's the same reason why a lot of people enjoy mindfuck-kun.
>and really cute like the other girls
Not even close with her sausage hair
Implyting they don't have the best interactions in the whole manga besides the main characters.
I imagine a lot of fans wanted to see a character with either no quirk or one that was useless in a fight succeed with wits and tools
Deku does a lot of that early on too but it's lessening as he gets better with OfA
management best department
if deku was still quirkless, this is probably where he would have ended up
Shit didn't even realize Momo can fight like t1000
I honestly agree, I've expected much more from her considering how much people hype up the character. She's not even the best mutant, birdbro and tentaclebro are more enjoyable
Not him but do you have some sort of vendetta against her
MC always top 1
Fucking nips I swear
Anon, she's a capitalist taking adventage of capitalist society, there's nothing wacky about that and it was a fun worldbuilding venture. Did you have some ex you still dislike who cosplayed Mei or something?
You are right anon, that ruins the joke.
>Not him but do you have some sort of vendetta against her
She does you're just fanboying too hard
That was pretty much the same as mindfuck's speech, it established how another part of the school looks like and what people with shittier/non-combat quirks might do in this world
>Mei a shit.jpg
>God Mei is so shit I have to save pictures to remind myself how much I hate her
>played Iida like a damn fiddle
Just for that she holds a spot in my heart.
What happens if All Mighty is fighting a villain and they accidentally eat a piece of his hair or skin flakes?
What if he's fighting a villain whose power is biting?
What if he's fighting vampires?
What if he's getting a blowjob and the girl swallows?
He walked up to Deku in a fashionable way.
I've been here for over a decade and have had a dynamic IP for most of that time.
That's probably her upgrade. Instead of just creating objects, she can make them protrude from her skin.
She'll later start shooting out of her arms, using swords, maybe even go cyborg (then eject the parts to go back to normal).
Not all series can have a side character as based as Kumagawa
HxH is on a completely different level.
That's a fine opinion to have but only if you dislike Himiko "hai i want to become Stainy xD waffles" Toga and Ragdoll more as they embody the archetype you're talking about more closely.
Also, to answer your question: people like Mei because she's the token tech-based hero, considering especially in the west a lot of people latch to to BNHA because they already like superhero stuff it shouldn't be surprising. Look how popular, say, Ted Kord seems to be on /co/, that's probably the closest match.
I didn't read a dozen of your shitposts, I've only noticed you ask why would people like a character and delivered an answer, are you retarded?
Toga is delicious and the only source of /u/ bait in the series. Ragdoll does fit it though.
I hope we'll get some more refined female villain in the vein of Blackmist and Compress later, I don't hate Himiko because she can be funny in small doses but it sucks she's the only female baddie so far.
>Some guy asks why they aren't popular in Japan
>Ask why would they be considering her type of character mainly appeals to western hambeasts
>You answer with
>Also, to answer your question: people like Mei because she's the token tech-based hero, considering especially in the west a lot of people latch to to BNHA because they already like superhero stuff it shouldn't be surprising. >calling others retarded
>Can't even green text properly
When you say hambeast are you referring to tumblrites? If that's the case how does Mei even appeal to them? Are you just using that word because the big kids used it and you want to fit in?
Basically episode 5 had shitty ratings. Unless you still don't understand, then it means TBS is going to pull out of the production committee once this season is done and if there's ever going to be a sequel then shuiesha and Toho will have to fund it by themselves. The timeslot will also probably move to latenight.
Not bad, Americans.
Where did that Mei shitposter come from and why is he so obsessed with this, can we go back to discussing shit that actually matters like "why are all mutants bro-tier" or "which villains might follow a higher cause" or anything else that's not complaining about a minor character most people are indifferent to
>Trying to deflect after realizing your mistake
The "I love blood haha XD" shit got old pretty fast. Her design is cool desu but she's the only girl I don't really like.
Mutants are bro tier because they are scary, that's why they overcompensate by being the nicest shit around. And Hori loves them so he isn't going to make them big bad villains.
Are you retarded? You don't drop from a 3.1 to a 1.0 unless something major happened. The episode was delayed by 30 minutes and most people missed it, everything was down that week anyways.
>Deku isn't cool
Get the fuck outta my face
That's actually fairly realistic when you think about it, if you're ugly you need to be nice and helpful or at least charismatic to fit in.
I'm hoping we'll eventually get an arc with class B mutants, we hardly know them apart from Bondo who seems to be a bro like class A deformed crew.
I just like how intimate she gets with them. Other than that she's not noteworthy in any way
I know it's wild but you could just say "your waifu a shit mine is better" without filling the entire thread with this and brining in boogeymen, anon. I don't like Momo but I don't go on a rant how people like her only because she has big boobs each time she's mentioned.
Also all this discussion is irrelevant anyway because Mina is unquestionably the best girl, deserving of all the places in the rankings, case closed, we can move on.
I'm wondering what happens when Bondo really cries, does he do it like pic related or from all his eye sockets?
This would have been well received if not for OnePunch man. Saitama is an Alpha ,people like that. Deku is a beta that crys all the time and manga/anime try way too hard to make him appear cool.
All his eye sockets, obviously. I really hope we'll get to see more about how he expresses emotions in the future - I know he's a really one-note character but I got into BNHA thanks to seeing cute fanart of the malformed students so I'm sentimental about even the most minor of them.
Do we know what the yeti guy's quirk exactly does? Is he basically an expy of Beast from X-Men or something else?
OPM loses most of its charm when the art style isn't shitty, and honestly most of the designs feel really lame compared to BNHA where even a lot of minor characters is quite memorable (I think the cement guy that's often discussed lately is a very good example), but yeah, this is pretty on point.
>1 sentence is a rant
>samefag isn't the one continuing and filling up the thread with this conversation
>implying their posting style doesn't reek of cancer
it's not you
>I think the cement guy that's often discussed lately is a very good example
Cementoss never gets any love even if he is the original cement guy from boku no hero macadamia.
>kid's dream comes true after years of bullying and being inferior to others
>he breaks his fucking bones every time he uses his power
>lol why is he crying?
Stop being retarded anon. Episode 5 aired on May 1 while the earthquake happened on april 14 and 16. Not to mention none of the shows ratings were affected.
If the earthquake really had affected the ratings then episode 3 which aired on april 17 should have had an even lower ratings. It's time to admit the anime isn't performing well.
Mic only got popular with the anime, I expect 13 to follow a similar path.
I'm not sure about Midnight, I always thought she's overshadowed by Mount Lady for most people? She seems to be doing better than Mic or Cementoss, let alone 13 and Ecotplasm in the polls though.
Nothing in that post even mentioned the Earthquake dumbshit. The official twitter account mentioned the delay
>Not to mention none of the shows ratings were affected.
DBZ Super 7.1 dropped to 5.1
Doraemon 7.8 dropped to 6.9
And PreCure also dropped out of the Top 10
Gundam UC, Arc-V and the Super Hero power block that aired at the same time were all effected because they were all delayed that week or didn't air due to festivities.
While I think its a couple of people
(probably 2 or 3)its pretty amazing how much they're willing to shit post. Probably some reddit fag that found the threads when that moron from the previous one linked to said thread on a reddit post.
It's pretty clear both shitposting streaks in this thread are coming from that source, it's way too obvious
Shitposting aside, I'm not sure if it's the best place to ask, but how high are the chance of some sort of figures or statues being made further down the line? The anime might not be doing particularly great, but manga is seemingly selling really well currently.
>pushing her eye back in
How did I not notice this
SHINSOU IS FUCKING 12th AND BARELY INVOLVED, LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE.
The general studies/management/support kids served their purpose well in a single arc, establishing there are more kinds of classes and what they're like, I like mindfuck and tech girl but I don't think they need to be brought back, especially since there are still class A students who never had any spotlight.
Cause the Class A students are shit apart from a select few.
Who the fuck wants more Mineta over Shinsou.
I mean mind fuck is a generic shitty overused power but sometimes it creates the best moments.
I can agree, sugar and rock boy are probably the most out of place. While also having pretty crappy powers
>Eats candy, gets stronger
>Can talk to animals
I can only see that going so far...
Animal guy is decent, he just needs to man up and interact with people more, animal control is a b-tier power but not an awful one, and he's physically strong thanks to mutant body inherited from his mom (was his dad a normal human with animal speech quirk? Mom seemed more malformed so it'd make sense dad is closer to standard).
Sugar and maybe navel laser are the least relevant for now and neither is very useful. Admittedly neither are Denki or tape guy but they had one or two funny moments.
I think it was every 10 grams of sugar that gets him stronger, but he gets dumber too
They'll probably have some combo move where he chugs a whole bag, goes full retard hulkmode, and now Kouda can control him because he's as dumb as an animal
dont you mean shinkansen
Nah Navel has his uses with his Hero suit he can shoot his laser from several other points of his body.
That and they seemed pretty darn destructive.
Uhh don't think it works like that, quite sure its exclusive to only animals/bugs and doesn't work on human/humanoids
But that did give me a good laugh.
I think Bondo's different enough, he's shown actually interacting with his classmates while Kouda is a loner save for a few single frames where he talks to Sugar
Yetiman might be a good choice too especially if he's smart, that trope isn't covered in class A yet, both of the burly dudes there are idiots.
Why not add a girl to class A instead?
I'd go for girl Jesus, Kendou is a great character but she should stay in class B, Bondo's waifu needs to be where Bondo is, and the rest is unremarkable so far. I do want to see more of that small one with mushroom quirk though, Dorohedoro has shown me you can do a lot of visually interesting stuff with shroom powers.
I think the one who needs more screentime is Hagakure. I mean she has some dialogue and all, but she's the only one in class A whose quirk hasn't been explained. Sure she is invisible but she can't destroy robots with invisibility,
But anon Deku is a nice modern refreshing MC.
Loads a swamps here in the US and there are frogs everywhere.
Who doesn't love frogs?
How do you kill robots with self amputation?
Do you clog up their moving parts with severed limbs?
>What went wrong?
The anime is bad.
They make their hightest effort on not animating thing, they add lot of flashbacks and the pace in general is too slow.
Things that wouldn't be a problem if it was produced a long running series. That kind of stuff would be to be expected if it was going to be 70 or so like WT.
But for a short series that is only one cour its bullshit.
The flasbacks are the worst, without them it'd probably be possible to reach the sports festival within one cour which could help with the ratings - correct me if I'm wrong but Japanese seem to love crow and mindfuck even more than the west does.
This is some Konjinki No Gash-tier humor
i love it
Something about deflated All Might is really familiar but I can't place it
then she hacks you to pieces and leaves you there once she's done drinking your blood.
I do not know what happened in episode 5, the fall does not look natural, but the impression is that if the anime was more dynamic (such as the manga), the audience would be higher. 3.1 in the episode where Deku punches robot just proves it.
Stupid Bones. A second season is useless now.
But in general, there is growth in the audience, right?
The time got pushed back 30 minutes which means it aired at the same time as Yugioh. Having to choose between the longer running, more popular series, or the newer series, the choice was clear.
Everyone is acting retarded so I guess this thread has done its job.
>Fat = chubby
She's 35+ years old, of course she'll get a little fat. She's still perfect mom material.
I don't see anything wrong with this. It's been improving from meh/blah ratings to okayish which isn't bad, then ep5 got delayed.
Hilarious how badly you can get eaten by moving a timeslot however- particularly when you have a fairly boring episode by most standards.
>implying this won't get a second cour anyway next year
They fucked up planning the anime so early though. I read the manga so seeing a nearly page-perfect adaptation is great for me, but I'd have rushed the shit out of this after episode 2 to get to USJ because that's basically when things finally start getting really good.
A properly planned 24 episode cour would've ended on the Stain arc which is basically the best arc in the series and a fantastic hook.
