For what purpose, no company though of recreating 2D sprite work with chill music till Tree of Savior, even then they flopped since they couldn't figure out how to build a progressive multiplayer story game.

Creating a world that forces people to work together, they always build the game with the assumption it will die, challenges are too hard.

They never consider that a quest should be made to be fun even if you fail, since they do a zero sum mentality, instead of a different reward formula.

I don't want to watch an anime. I'd read the shit out of a manga with this kind of art style though.

Maybe through a traveling merchant or priest PoV, describing the world of Ragnarok, daily life of people from the busy capital Prontera, the magic wonders of Geffen to the deserts of Morroc. His encounters with monsters and travelers along the way. Something like Otoyometagari but not strictly about young brides I guess.

It was an attempt, it was a success, as much as a videogame adaptation can go.

Was faithful to the source material and new at the same time. A bit low on budget but still managed to it.
