Yes, kind of. After about chapter 10, the number of pages per chapter increased by an average of about 5 or 6. The mother chapters could almost be spaced out to an episode each.

The only big problem I foresee is where to finish? Season 1 had a perfect chapter to finish on due to basically bringing the entire cast together, and they even skimped out on Polt + Draco fishing, which saved a couple of minutes.

I'd like the manga to get a pretty hefty lead before they even entertained the idea of a second season. Just so we don't end up with something that's forgettable and regrettable.
