This whole fucking series seriously reminds me of me and my brother. It's funny because we even had pretty much the exact same hair as deku and bakugou, his dark and curly, and mine blond and I used to spike it. He was always super nice as a kid while I would get pissed off at everything, even how nice he was because deep down I always wanted to be more like that.

I think it's that between the anime and the manga there's a lot of stuff that anime-only viewers are going through that manga fans went through originally.

This is the first shonen I've seen that takes a more realistic approach on suddenly getting super powers out of nowhere.

He's not holding back on using his power because "It's too strong it'll destroy the city" or "I hurt someone when I was 5 with it so I'm not allowed to".
He actually CAN'T use it. It disables him. He knows this, he knows it's too strong for him and there's no real getting around that (yet).

On top of that, he's forced to work twice as hard as anyone else at any given time to just come even.
I think that's what's drawing me into this show the most. The realistic approach to an ordinary kid getting super powers out of nowhere.
