A boy falls in love with a boy.

It has issues, but it's not the shitfest that some anons would lead you to believe. I'd give it a 6/10. Worth playing if you like "Tales of" games in general and can put up with its flaws (shitty camera, inconsistent dialogue translations, kind of nonsensical story, Rose, terrible ally AI, Rose).

Sorey and Mikleo are probably the purest couple ever in a Tales game, which is saying something.

But if you're willing to settle for repetition, assfucking and mediocrity like avid 'gamers' are used to then by all means some games can be more enjoyable than others. Honestly, I've never seen any better friendship, or pairing, considering: 1. All the friendship stuff and interaction that we get to see that makes their relationship so good in the first place 2. The fact that it's probably canon or easily could be and not just a joke or fanservice or forever wishful thinking, so it's easier to get invested in 3. Hunter x Hunter would be my #1 pick, unless you want something that's outright BL or whatever. The main character relationship is written incredibly well and almost certainly has canon romantic undertones. The author has written homo stuff in the past and seems to genuinely like doing so.

Oofuri is another one that I can think of off the top of my head that has probably canon/potentially will become canon romantic undertones between the two main characters. Plus it's just a well-written story that you can enjoy whether or not you like sports.
