Fair. Personally I think 5 and 6 are about equal in terms of amount of various merits and it's a matter of entirely personal taste which one you prefer, personally I'd also place 6 higher because I loved the insane stand ideas like Sky High and while the gang felt less like a coherent group, it also didn't have anyone as bad as Trish or anyone as unnecssary as Fugo - but I can see why some people might dislike Hermes and Emporio.

Also, 8 might fall down depending on the big bad and conclusion, but it's bound to be in top 3 thanks to Araki finally overcoming the villain of the week formula and making Aisho, Yotsuyu and Damo normal characters rather than mere one arc obstacles; the second half of part 6 and most of 7 already move in that direction but only with Jojolion it could finally blossom.

I've just finished re-reading part V and enjoyed it a lot, but I have to admit I've ended up disliking Trish. She's easily the worst major female character in Jojo and even Fugo had more good moments despite his short stay.

Abacchio grew a lot on me thanks to the re-read though.

Dragon's Dream, Yo-Yo Ma and Survivor are all conceptually interesting, the fights are simply a bit poorly paced. A lot of hate they get is undeserved, really, and personally I think people will appreciate them much more after part 6 gets adapted.

I love Yo-Yo and Dragon's Dream was neat but it sucked that FF's only meaningful fight was this, and so many near death situations during this arc cheapened the weight of her actual death; since FF was my second fave after Weather I dislike Dragon's Dream a bit as a result.

Not as much as nazi zombies, and Stroheim is fairly unique due to being protagonist (in a story not written by some insane skinhead at that), but yeah. It's basically one of the easiest way to make you not feel bad about the protagonist having to kill legions of mooks, communist robots/zombies are common for the same reason.

That was 3 chapters on it's own plus they put the first half a chapter or so of The Lock into it as well. It could have been faster but I'm glad that the way they did it means that The Lock was one episode. It was kinda slow but I prefer it to the 5 chapters an episode treatment which resulted in DIO's World in the anime. At that point it's basically an audiovisual recap of the manga which is kind of pointless because I could just go reread the manga. I foresee Yukako being only a tiny bit shorter, but it'll definitely spill over into a third episode but there's no way it'll take up 3 on it's own. My guess is that Surface will take up the first half of Yukako 1 as well so that way even though there'll be 3 episodes listed as being the Yukako ones it'll only take up 2.5 max.

The slow pace is kind of annoying but I prefer it to getting some really slow bits and some retardedly fast.

PHF is pretty much canon since Araki did the art for it and the guy who wrote it planned it out with Araki himself. I'm pretty sure that Araki has outright said it's the ending to Fugo's character arc that he wanted to do but couldn't and he overall seems quite happy about PHFso it may as well be canon. The next closest is Over Heaven which is decent but nothing special. It has a few suspicious things in it like DIO apparently always respecting his father and hating his mother which goes against what was established in Part 1, but aside from that it doesn't really have anything wrong with it, it's just unremarkable. 4th Another Day is decent as well and has no reason not to be canon. The rest are pretty much all shit.

Speed King speeds up molecules like a lot of people suggested. Damo almost kills him and he discovers a new use for it. He speeds up molecules in a ring like and using string theory or some shit like that, he uses those speeding molecules to outright cut a segment of space and time away and can then place it elsewhere. He can't interact with anything in the cut spacetime until he place it somewhere else again. So he can cut out the moment someone falls over and then move it around and place it somewhere else, like over a dog shit so when it's placed the guy's fall will continue in the new spot and he'll land in dogshit. People in the spacetime he cuts remembers anything because he's essentially cutting and pasting space and time and they exist in limbo before they're placed again.

Flashback guy is Jesus in Johnny's body. He's an immortal but not a Rock Human but he works for the Rock Humans pretending to be a normal human. He wants to keep peace with the Rock Humans because in ancient times he tried wiping them out but discovered that they can spawn from the Devil's Palm in Arizona or the Wall Eyes in Morioh since those are actually old Rock Human tombs. He pretends to be human but tries to guide their decision making subtly.

Joshuu lives but he only gets one proper fight against Damo which he jobs only for Kyo to save him.

Karera isn't a Rock Human but Damo finds out from researching her that she's the great granddaughter of a Nip general from World War 2 who massacred Rock Humans on New Guinea for the Rokakaka, and she's only around to try and fuck Josuke and steal the magic fruit her asshole great grandfather told her about.

The only consistent ones Jolyne, Emporio, still Hermes despite her lengthy absence and Weather and Annasui even though they're only introduced like a third of the way in.

Why did they dropped the CGI openings for part 4?.
They used to be amazing, the new opening is just averge like any seasonal anime.

No clue. The CGI openings were outsourced and not actually produced by David Productions, just supervised. I've heard that the company that did them have a very big project of their own going on at the moment so they might not have the manpower to spare and David just decided to do one themselves rather than try and find another company who can do it as well as the old one. That's just my guess, there's been no given reason for it.

I think the OP nails the theme of the first half of part 4 REALLY well, it'd be hard to capture that vibe with CGI when it's really different. Parts 1-3 were a lot more epic and badass, so the CGI fit greatly. Plus Part 4's OP looks like it'll evolve over time.

I think it's gonna change entirely after Tonio or RHCP. In the dancing bit it only shows up to characters who appear in Tonio's even the minor ones with no real bearing on the plot but none after him. If it does end there it's right on the end of the first cour so we could get a new opening from episode 14 onwards based around the characters from the second cour, like Rohan, Shigechi etc. I don't think they'll be adding new stuff to it aside from Echoes Acts when they've already gone out of their way to fill the OP with characters who wouldn't be appearing until a month or two later anyway and only characters up to a rather arbitrary cutoff point like Tonio's.

A lot. It's still decent once you hit the shit translations but all the characters feel samey in them and they also just made shit up. Only reason King Crimson is a meme is because they mistranslated it and instead of correcting it they just tried to come up with roundabout excuses to justify their explanation. You should still enjoy it but just know that it's not the best it could be and it'll be a while before it's fully retranslated.

Not without combing through it with the original on had since no one bothered, but when it comes to characterisation and themes you'll notice immediately. Those are the biggest offenders aside from them making stuff up, the biggest being they got King Crimson's ability wrong. No one has ever really done a full list of all the issues in it because we all just know it's bad from personal experience and also people who can read moonrunes. It's still fun to read but just know that what you're getting in the second half isn't up to scratch but there aren't any other alternatives currently, unless you can read Italian or French since they got official translations.
