They're not really gay with each other, though there's not all that much dialogue to begin with. The swords only interact with each other in special scenes when you bring certain combinations to certain time eras, and when you make them do chores together. They flirt more with you, the player, if anything. (Kogitsunemaru asks if you want him to princess carry you as one of his idle lines in the citadel.)
