Why did Cowboy Bebop get all weird and melodramatic at the end?

The ending was fantastic and nothing about it was weird.

One of the best anime I ever seen hands down.

You say it as if Cowboy Bebop ever had a consistent mood.

Honestly, the last 10 minutes is the only part worth watching. Everything else was episodic fart.

I agree wholeheartedly. I didn't care at all about Julia or Vicious, and the shift in tone really took me out of it every time.
