It starts of as a Rei/Shinji fanfic, has super-power AT field Gendo, and finishes with a reset ending and Mari Makinami.

As a story, it's better than the anime in every way. Characters are given more exposition and dialogue is better.


Overall the anime is still better because the music, directing and presentation added a lot to it.

Ideal for reifags like myself.
