No, the reason why the ability didn't disappear is not known, but I'd say the elder saw Chrollo as worthy leader of Meteor City and gave him his ability willingly. Now that the ability remained after death, Chrollo doesn't need to have Sun & Moon's page bookmarked or open to detonate the signs, they will remain attached to anything until they explode. This means anything around Hisoka could explode at any moment.

My only complaint is this is stating that Ging is stronger than Netero, but that he isn't as strong as Pitou. Also Gon beat the ever loving shit out of Pitou after his nen transformation, also I remember Pitou saying his aura was on par with Merum so does that mean Gon had a power ranking of like 4 mil? Or was it even further then that? Was Gon literally the strongest person in the HxH universe to date when he did his whole nen transformation?
