Difference is that One Piece is an episodic manga, that allows new readers to jump into the series at the start of any arc. It replaces the old and bored readers with newcomers all the time.
Naruto... Did a quite good job at not dropping in popularity too hard.

That's the problem with the editor rankings. Neither One Piece and Naruto ever was rightfully dropped in ranking when they sucked.

This is the major problem with how the editors run their comics. They shove anything that is popular to THEM instead of selling what is popular to the audience.

Bleach sells 500,000 to 400,000 being in the bottom ranking. Imagine how much the magna would sell if they treated Bleach the same way they treated One Piece and Naruto. I bet it would sell 800,000 to 700,000 if the editors played favorites with the rankings like they did with Naruto and One Piece.

That's the problem. Editors don't focus on the audience, they aim to please themselves. That is why we keep getting sucky manga like Black Clover and My Hero Academia ranking so high. They are trying to make other manga just copy cats of Naruto and they still can't sell in the same regards.

Jump does not order the manga based on popularity from week before. It's true that popular series are in front but the actual order is decided from week to week by the editor-in-chief.

Basically it may show the postcards do affect ranks but its mostly up to the editor himself. I doubt it really answers any questions but it is a bit more inside the magazine from the horse's mouth.

The problem with MhA is the same to WT or AssClaas, with 20 character introduce in a few time it difficult develop all(thats why people think OP has more depth character than Bleach for example).In general is a good nekketsu , except the last arc who only have 2 decent moment and 1 good match(urara and frogposter vs yandere).

This isn't like Square Enix where only certain Final Fantasy games get attention (FF7, FF10, FF13) due to the demand and purchasing of the audience.

The editors in Weekly Shonen Jump are corrupt as all fuck and just want to focus on what THEY like. Not on what their audience likes.

That's because the manga still had a sizable fanbase back then and was still a hot property so they would vote for it regardless of quality.

Bullshit. People were growing tired of the material at that point with volume 48 having the lowest debut sales of the last 5 years at that point and then came the Fullbring arc which made things even worse. You can scream editors are you want but the drop in sales for both manga and anime, the drop in ratings, the cancellation of the 5th movie and the cancellation of the anime and the fact that Bleach went from a million seller to barely getting above 400k is proof enough that it was a gradual decline in readership that lead to its current rankings.
