Maybe I am just drunk, but was this episode actually good? I thought it was well animated and surprisingly well paced adaptation of case 3, despite leaving out Penny. I could count only like 4 obviously rushed jobs and some of them are pretty understandable (like having 4 or more people in the same shot). Probably some guys in A-1 really liked case 3, this is a legitimately good episode.

Yeah, this. The tension of cases 1 and 2 was broken down by the fact that we had to wait weeks between each episode. I doubt anyone who played the games stopped playing it after just first case, I know I didn't, it was just as much of a tutorial case as first one was.

But this is different, the setting is established and we get scenes to like, I don't know, breath in. Maya swinging her broom around pretending to be Steel Samurai is exactly how I wanted that scene to happen.
