Its refreshing because the MC doesnt immediately betray everything he did before for some minor féminine interest like it happens way too often in fictions.

The moral was how he himself is a wolf, and as a wolf, he has to survive no matter what. He's a man with a future but with no one to share it with. he's the lone wolf in the story, he's literally the idea of "Lone Wolf". The moral of the story was loneliness and the idea of whether to choice to live or die by your creed, and in the end, the woman would've died either way. The only way to live is to not die, but sacrifice others. you win some, you loss some.

Fuse isn't a 'lone wolf.' Look at the title 'Jin-Roh: The Wolf BRIGADE,' he was a member of a team. Sure he was still lonely, but the movie wasn't about him sacrificing the girl to look out for himself, it was about whether he would do anything for his own people. If you ignore Fuse's relationship with the rest of the Wolf Brigade you're missing the heart of the movie.

not his creed, the unit's creed. If it weren't for his relationship with the unit I don't think he would have killed her in the end. It wasn't in his self-interest and he didn't support it morally or selfishly, he only did it for the group. A man does what he thinks is right, a wolf does what's right by the pack. As a member of the Wolf Brigade this was more true for Fuse than the average police officer, as they're much smaller, tighter and more hardcore.

Jin-Roh is like 1 part Serpico and 1 part Thief.
