HOPE: I want a longer running series. Hoping for a more complete adaptation is absurd. I just want something beyond the golden age arc. As long as we get at least past the first eclipse I will be happy.

Longer running manga are getting fewer and fewer adaptations because its getting harder and harder to probably acquire funding behind a series that might start to suck later on and die off in the ratings. Couple examples of just getting the "filler ending treatment" are bleach, inuyasha, and FMA to name a few. Sure inuyasha came back and FMA got a reboot of sorts but bleach has yet to make a come back beyond rumor.

Not to mention Berserk is also Seinen and no shounen so it would have fewer things to merchandise worldwide as well as an adult audience expecting gloriously animated action scenes from their cult classic manga that they've been reading for 20 years. Its impossible the way things are that Japan can cater to any of these kinds of demands with a series like Berserk. I hope netflix or something grabs it and helps it continue or something or else its probably just going to be very limited.

I'm looking forward for the release of the new Hirasawa track. I love just about every piece he has done for Berserk, not mention all of his other songs.

A fear is they don't balance the use of CG well. From the trailers I gather there will be some traditional animation. I just hope the parts that deserve to look excellent get the attention they deserve.

I can't see this happening but if they somehow fuck up the story or character development, I will not be chuffed senpai.
