I just finished it last week OP. One of the few, true hidden gems. Too bad retards just pass it off as an Eva clone because someone once told them that and they're too stupid to watch it themselves.

Argento Soma is the prime example of a really obscure show retards try passing off as great because they want to pretend like they've unearthed some hidden gem

Thankfully, I'm so stupid I consider copying Eva a good thing and eat up anything that tries. And then it turned out the show wasn't half-bad!

Also, there's a really good looking version up on nyaa that got put out recently, don't know why it's not on bakabt or whatever

The writers didn't make much of her beyond being a plot device.

Yeah, that's easy, her characterization was one of the weakest parts of the show.
She didn't really develop at all until the end, even though it seemed like she was supposed to be the deuteragonist opposite edgelord yamato.
