Normally the way this sort of story is done is to push the alien as MC and give them a "straight man" who's going to be featureless blob that can play the generic nice earthling (think the Kiryuus and SS). The twist way is to have a weirdo who's on some sort of social margin so that the alien gets a skewed view of the world, much to the amusement of the audience.

Here, I think the plan is to start Riko and Mirai as fundamentally different and build them up as a super special bridge across worlds. So the adventures would be more about their quirks and how learning about (or correcting) each of them brings them closer together.

She is a loser in her group, hardly done anything above other except in midseason climax that she get to save other (And she was saved by Coco first) and the fact that she bring all of them together. Even about the romance arc she still share it with Komachi. In Gogo! however suddenly she become pillar of the group, everyone praising how awesome she is. Everyone can't function without her.

Could you be getting confused because of how much yellow privilege Urara has? Just because pink privilege amounts to less than yellow doesn't mean it wasn't present. Nozomi did a lot of things in the first season, like almost always being given a prominent role in the others' episodes. Also you're kidding yourself if you don't think Nozomi being not only the one saved first, but also the one that saved the others, as not-pink privilege.

I was interested in finding this out and made a chart on how many downloads the first and last episode of each precure series had gotten on nyaa (I didn't include BD rereleases and subgroups picking it up weeks after the initial episode). I started with Heartcatch because that one was the first to get regular subs.

There are some inconsistencies (like 60k people downloading Suite without ever downloading the first episode) and I would suggest you to take it with a grain of salt, but it's a pretty interesting way to see the trends evolve.

Smile Precure 01 was incredibly hyped here on /a/ and you can tell because it jumped immediately to 50k downloads at episode 2. Maybe someone should make a chart for each episode for each season but not me because I'm too lazy.
