Well if your plot is so shit that you don't have enough material to make another season, then there's a problem. See most typical battle school harems like Hundred, it's the same generic ass shit every time, to the point where you can predict half the damn plot points multiple episodes beforehand.

If you want people to stick around for more than two seasons, you have to leave the cradle of the damn school for more than 3 episodes and create a plot that actually progresses in some way.
