I've always loved the manga art most, even when I was a kid and obsessed with the TV show. It was my introduction to manga so I was really amazed by how pretty it was even if it's not technically amazing.

One of the few manga adaptations where the anime actually looks very significantly better. (Not talking about Crystal of course, which looks like utter dogshit. I get that it was trying to be more faithful to the manga, but some art styles just don't translate well to animation.)

I don't understand how the anime form 25 years ago looks so much better. Did they lose the information to make it look decent or improve at all? It doesn't make any sense.

Usagi Tsukino falls in love with Mamoru Chiba.

Unable to confess, she is gifted by a deus ex machina with the boy's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, she immediately calls him, and is overjoyed to find out that he has a crush on her as well.

But, the next day, when Usagi recounts the previous day's confessions to the Mamoru, he only looks at each of her with a perplexed expression.
