Ichi's hair doesn't look promising and their faces/heads aren't quite right. They look a bit too elongated. Stylization is fine and all, but they haven't changed their facial features to suit. They have the facial proportions/ratios of the fatter-faced show art style.

I kind of like Kara, though.

While the OsoChoro CD was amusing in its own way I have to say that I preferred the OsoIchi one since it took place within the Matsu reality we're all familiar with. The Matsus working odd jobs is a great concept and the possibilities are endless but they're not really doing anything with it. It is just boring fanservice given to us by pale imitations of the Matsus, another shitty AU skit. As it stands the CDs are about as funny as the show's low tier skits.

I'd have preferred a series of CDs with all of the Matsus working in an office environment together or something, all of them working in showbiz. These CDs just do not work when taking two characters in isolation, whoever is in charge of the writing is doing a terrible job.

AU or not, there's very little chance that Ichi will explain why he hates his older brother.

Something can have 1 target demographic and then have a 2nd demographic. Shounen Jump realized this years ago, which is why they changed up their character designs, in general.

It's wonderful. My only real complaint about Joshimatsu was how they repeated the "intro" sequence a few times. Lazy bastards. I see you saving yourself 1 ~ 1 1/2 minutes of animation.

Please. Is this a drama show? Are the only episodes that counts as canon the AV, flower and Letter episode? Was Choro's outburst at the end not part of his continuation? The difference is between the AUs and the matsus own storylines. That's how Kara handled that situation in that episode. And the way he did it in Letter is what he chose to do in that situation. They both count.
As for Totty not caring about his brothers, we know he spews venom but we also see his actions telling otherwise in other instances, like, for instance in Dayon Tribe which you wrote off.

Of course it's a joke it's one of the funniest moments. But be it a "when push comes to shove" situation or not it's still there so there is that. Although a case can be made that Kara was drunk if people don't like it.
